Christmas Time

On Christmas Eve, Emma was acting a little funny. She was tired, crabby, and running a low-grade fever. We still got her dressed in her beautiful red velvet Christmas dress from Mormor and headed to the Cathedral for Christmas Eve services. We were there probably 10 minutes when Emma threw up all over me (and all over her gorgeous dress). I covered the barf on the floor with my coat and ran her out of church. Uncle Chris (SWEET, SWEET Uncle Chris) cleaned up best he could and followed me out. We met Andrew and Abigail (who were just on their way in from parking) and we all went home. Emma and I spent the rest of Christmas eve watching Elmo while Andrew and Abigail went back to church and then to Mormor's for dinner. The next morning, Emma was a little better and so we headed to the Johansson's house (after we opened presents from Santa) for breakfast. We spent the rest of the day laying low at home.

This picture was taken Christmas morning. Santa brought this sled and that cardboard playhouse you can see behind the sled.

Downtown Kalamazoo Holiday festivities
One morning before Christmas, we decided to head downtown to get some lunch after a workout at the gym. When we saw the reindeer and Santa, we had to stop. Emma, was not interested in talking to Santa, but managed to whisper to Mrs. Clause (for the price of a candy cane) that she would like a red fish for Christmas:). Abigail loved Santa... and somehow Santa convinced me to get in a picture too!
